CISF inducts first all-female commando team for high-stakes roles.
The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) is set to induct its first all-female commando team to enhance gender representation and operational capabilities. Training for the initial batch of 30 women commenced at the Regional Training Centre in Madhya Pradesh, focusing on physical fitness, weapons training, and survival skills, with plans for at least 100 women to complete this advanced course. This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Home Affairs’ goal of achieving 10% female representation in the force, currently at 8%. The CISF’s commitment to including women in its core operations marks a significant step toward gender parity and modernizes its tactical response capabilities.
