TakeMe2Space and EON to launch indigenous mini telescope on PSLV-C62.
TakeMe2Space and EON Space Labs are set to launch their indigenous 14-kg Earth Observation Satellite (EOS) on PSLV-C62 on January 12, marking a significant milestone in India’s private space sector. This mini space telescope, developed in just six months at a cost of around ₹2.5 crore, will operate in low Earth orbit, enabling advanced applications like strategic surveillance, agriculture monitoring, and urban mapping. The project highlights India’s focus on self-reliance and cost efficiency in space technology, with an emphasis on dual-use capabilities that enhance both commercial and defense sectors. By integrating private contributions into national missions, this initiative reinforces India’s position as a growing hub for space innovation and strengthens its commitment to indigenous manufacturing and technological advancement.
