Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate Skyroot’s Infinity Campus on November 27, a significant advancement for India’s private space sector, which fosters the design and testing of multiple launch vehicles. Alongside this event, he will unveil the Vikram-I, Skyroot’s first orbital rocket capable of launching satellites into orbit. This state-of-the-art facility, spanning over 200,000 square feet, aims to produce one orbital rocket monthly and signifies a transformative shift in India’s space capabilities, following the successful launch of Vikram-S by Skyroot, marking the first private Indian rocket launch. The emergence of private enterprises like Skyroot underscores the government’s commitment to enhancing India’s position as a formidable player in global space exploration.
