The Indian Navy is set to host ‘Swavlamban 2025’, a significant event focused on innovation and indigenisation, scheduled from November 25-26 at the Manekshaw Centre, Delhi. Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan, Vice Chief of the Naval Staff, emphasized the seminar’s role in showcasing the Navy’s strides toward Aatmanirbharta (self-reliance) in defense technologies, highlighting themes of collaboration and technological advancement in response to evolving security needs. This year’s seminar will specifically present challenges derived from lessons learned during Operation Sindoor, encouraging participants to propose innovative solutions. In addition to exhibit zones for successful indigenous products, the event will feature brainstorming sessions on policy frameworks, expert panels discussing emerging technologies, and an interactive session with venture capitalists aimed at fostering innovation. Swavlamban 2025 represents a crucial initiative for the Indian Navy to engage innovators from academia, industry, and startups, promoting a unified approach to enhance future naval capabilities and strengthen national defense.
