Godrej Enterprises Group’s aerospace division has delivered the first human-rated L110 stage Vikas engine to ISRO’s Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre, a key milestone for India’s Gaganyaan human spaceflight program. Delivered on November 12, 2025, the engine will power the LVM3 launch vehicle designed to carry Indian astronauts into orbit safely, with the first uncrewed test flight slated for early 2026 and crewed missions expected by 2027. This achievement underscores Godrej’s legacy of over four decades contributing to India’s space program through high-precision components and engines used in Chandrayaan and other missions. From an Indian strategic perspective, the successful delivery marks a significant step forward in indigenous mission-critical technology development, bolstering India’s position as a leader in human space exploration and reinforcing the Make in India vision for strategic aerospace advancements. Maneck Behramkamdin, Executive VP of Godrej Aerospace, emphasized the national pride and responsibility attached to this contribution.
