The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army’s Army Purchase Organisation (APO) to implement real-time verification of Unique Document Identification Numbers (UDINs). This initiative will utilize an application programming interface (API) to streamline the verification process of Chartered Accountant-certified documents submitted by vendors, enhancing the authenticity and reducing the risk of fraud. By automating document validation, the partnership aims to minimize manual errors and strengthen procurement integrity within the Indian Army.
