The Department of Defence (DoD) has successfully concluded the Special Campaign 5.0, conducting cleanliness drives in 5,377 locations across India, achieving 100% disposal of identified targets, and addressing public grievances. The initiative generated revenue of Rs. 10.01 Lakh through the disposal of obsolete office and IT equipment, while unclogging 57,648 sq. feet of workspace. Significant milestones included the Barrackpore Heritage Grove and the Waste to Wonder Park in Secunderabad, showcasing a commitment to sustainability. This campaign underscores the DoD’s dedication to improving operational efficiency and environmental conservation, enhancing its operational readiness through organized infrastructure and community engagement, thus aligning with broader national cleanliness and sustainability goals.
