NIA clears Pahalgam Cable Car Project
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has approved a cable car project in Baisaran, Pahalgam, following an inquiry into the recent terrorist attack that claimed 26 lives, primarily tourists. The Jammu and Kashmir government is moving forward with the project, which is estimated to cost between Rs 100-120 crore and aims to enhance tourism in the region. The cable car will span 1.4 kilometers from near the Yatri Niwas to Baisaran, with an agreement already signed with Ronmas India Pvt. Ltd. for execution. This project signifies a crucial step towards revitalizing Pahalgam’s tourism sector and restoring confidence in the region post-attack, reflecting the government’s commitment to development and security.
