Dredge Godavari, India’s largest dredger, was launched at Cochin Shipyard Limited on October 18, 2025, by DCIL Chairman M. Angamuthu. This 12,000 cubic meter Beagle Series dredger enhances Dredging Corporation of India Limited’s (DCIL) capacity from 60 to 80 million cubic meters, showcasing cutting-edge technology and design. The vessel’s advanced features reflect India’s commitment to strengthening its indigenous dredging capabilities and supporting sustainable maritime growth under the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
