IAF and Coast Guard complete joint scuba diving mission in Goa.
A joint scuba diving expedition by the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Indian Coast Guard concluded in Goa, emphasizing inter-service collaboration and marine conservation. The initiative, titled “Forging Bonds Beneath the Waves,” involved 20 divers, 10 from each service, who conducted dives at Angria Bank, a site rich in biodiversity. Flagged off on October 8, the week-long mission aimed to enhance operational interoperability and refine joint diving procedures, marked by a symbolic underwater flag-in ceremony. This endeavor not only underscores the commitment of the IAF and Coast Guard towards safeguarding marine ecosystems but also highlights the importance of synergistic training among India’s defense forces, fostering unity and operational readiness in maritime operations.
