Rajnath Singh, CDS Gen Chauhan to lead tri-services seminar on tech in warfare.

The upcoming tri-services seminar ‘Ransamwad 2025’, scheduled for August 26-27 at the Army War College in Mhow, marks a significant step in India’s defense strategy, focusing on the impact of technology on warfare and the necessity for institutional reforms in military training. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan, and other top military officials will discuss lessons from recent operations, including the successful Operation Sindoor, which showcased India’s capacity for rapid military action. This unique forum will exclusively feature serving officers, moving away from traditional panels often filled with veterans or diplomats, ensuring that current practitioners shape the discourse around future warfare. The seminar aims to foster jointness among the armed forces and will see the release of three unclassified joint military doctrines and the updated Technology Perspective and Capability Roadmap, signaling clear avenues for domestic defense industry investment. The event underscores India’s commitment to evolving its military capabilities in response to emerging technologies and the dynamic nature of contemporary warfare, reinforcing its position as a leader in the regional security landscape.
