Punjab Police dismantle Pak-backed terror network; five arrested

Punjab Police, in a significant operation against a Pakistan-backed Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terror network, arrested five operatives who were planning attacks in Punjab ahead of Independence Day. The arrests were made based on instructions from foreign handlers linked to Pakistan, highlighting ongoing threats to national security. One person sustained injuries during an exchange of fire with the police. Additionally, the police are enhancing security measures, including high-visibility checkpoints and continuous surveillance, to ensure peaceful celebrations and combat drug trafficking in the region. This proactive approach underscores the Indian defense forces’ commitment to thwarting terrorism and maintaining law and order.
