NIA Seizes Properties of Hizbul Mujahideen Operative in Shopian

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has attached the properties of Tariq Ahmad Mir, a Hizbul Mujahideen operative involved in supplying arms to terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district. This action, ordered by the NIA Special Court, targets Mir’s residential and agricultural properties, as part of a broader initiative to disrupt terror networks threatening India’s stability. Following the suspension of Operation Sindoor, security forces have intensified operations against terrorists and their supporters in the region, amid ongoing concerns over infiltration and funding from Pakistan. The NIA’s actions underscore a determined effort to combat not only terrorism but also associated drug trafficking, which is believed to finance militant activities in the Union Territory.
