NIA court orders seizure of house linked to 2019 CRPF attack planning.
On November 25, 2025, the designated NIA court in Jammu has ordered the forfeiture of a residential house in Hakripora, Kakapora tehsil, Pulwama district, used as a hideout and operational base by Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists implicated in the February 14, 2019, CRPF convoy attack that killed 40 personnel. Key JeM operatives Muhammad Umar Farooq, Sameer Ahmed Dar, and Adil Ahmed Dar were linked to the house, which was used for planning and shelter before and after the bombing. The court ruled that ownership by the accused is not required for forfeiture under UAPA, only the use of the property to facilitate terrorism. This decisive action disrupts terror logistics in Kashmir, reinforcing India’s counterterrorism resolve amid ongoing efforts to dismantle JeM’s network and prevent future attacks, highlighting the continuing threat from Pakistan-based terror groups in the region.
