PIB Denies Claims of Indian Soldiers Captured by Pakistan
The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has refuted claims circulating on social media that Indian soldiers were apprehended by Pakistani border security forces and released only after chanting “Pakistan Zindabad.” PIB clarified that the video being shared is over three years old, depicting Indian Army personnel interacting with Pakistani civilians during a routine patrol, and that the slogans heard are from the civilians, not Indian soldiers. This misinformation is seen as a deliberate attempt by certain Pakistani accounts to undermine India’s image. The PIB emphasized that no Indian soldier was ever apprehended by the Pakistani army, reinforcing the integrity and professionalism of the Indian defense forces.
