Indian Army's Trek in Dzukou Valley Enhances Teamwork and Community Ties

The Indian Army’s Red Shield Division recently organized a two-day trek to Dzukou Valley in Nagaland for fifty students and four teachers from St. Joseph Higher Secondary School, fostering teamwork, environmental awareness, and community ties. This initiative, part of a broader effort to engage youth and strengthen bonds with the local Naga community, included a Cleanliness Drive aligned with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, emphasizing ecological responsibility. As a prelude to the upcoming Hornbill Festival, the trek underscored the Army’s commitment to promoting physical well-being, discipline, and civic duty among young participants, while celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the region. This event illustrates the Army’s role in nation-building and youth empowerment through adventure and cultural engagement.
