Despite a Central Administrative Tribunal’s 1999 order for regularization, the Centre argued that the required posts were abolished in 2018, which the court found to be inconsistent with evidence showing the posts were abolished only in 2020. The court emphasized that long-serving employees should not be denied their rights based on procedural faults and cited several Supreme Court rulings supporting regularization for those with substantial service.
