Army Chief: Operation Sindoor signals future military readiness against threats.

Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi underscored that Operation Sindoor, which occurred over an intense 88 hours and targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan, was merely a precursor to India’s future military responses. During the Chanakya Defence Dialogue, he affirmed that India remains fully prepared to address any threats and stated that the country would impose consequences on those harboring terrorists, firmly rejecting any blackmail from adversaries. Highlighting lessons learned from the operation, he emphasized the need for integration among the armed forces, timely decision-making, and sufficient supplies for extended engagements. General Dwivedi’s remarks came in the context of rising tensions following a series of incidents linked to terrorist activity, asserting that India will not allow talks and terror to coexist. He noted improvements in India-China relations while maintaining a stern stance towards Pakistan, emphasizing that deterrence relies on the adversary’s belief in India’s resolve to act decisively. This robust posture illustrates India’s commitment to national security and its readiness to confront terrorism effectively.
