Vietnam Showcases Indigenous Military Advances at National Day Parade

Vietnam recently showcased its growing military capabilities during the 80th National Day parade in Hanoi, exhibiting locally developed equipment such as the XTC-02 armoured personnel carrier and the XCB-01 infantry fighting vehicle. These advancements highlight Vietnam’s commitment to modernizing its armed forces and reducing reliance on foreign suppliers, particularly as it transitions from traditional reliance on Russian military equipment. The introduction of these systems aligns with Vietnam’s strategic objective to bolster its defense capabilities amid a rapidly changing geopolitical landscape in Southeast Asia. This move underscores the importance of self-reliance in defense amidst regional tensions.
