UAE Land Forces Chief visits India to strengthen defense ties.

Major General Yousef Maayouf Saeed Al Hallami, Commander of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Land Forces, embarked on a two-day visit to India from October 27 to 28, aimed at bolstering defense cooperation between the Indian Army and the UAE forces. During this visit, he received a Guard of Honour and engaged in discussions with Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, focusing on enhancing bilateral military ties through training exchanges, capability development, and collaboration in defense technology innovations. Notably, Major General Al Hallami was briefed on the Indian Army’s Operation Sindoor and its integration of Artificial Intelligence in defense operations. His itinerary included paying respects at the National War Memorial, visiting the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), and meeting with Indian defense industry representatives to explore potential partnerships in indigenous weapon systems and advanced defense technologies. This visit represents a significant step in establishing a future-ready regional security framework and reflects the strategic convergence of interests between India and the UAE, particularly in military modernization. The deepening of Indo-UAE defense relations not only reinforces the longstanding friendship between the two nations but also underscores India’s commitment to enhancing its regional influence through collaborative defense initiatives.
