Naval chief visits Brazil to enhance maritime partnership and cooperation.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi has embarked on a four-day official visit to Brazil to strengthen the maritime partnership between the Indian Navy and the Brazilian Navy, a key component of the broader India-Brazil Strategic Partnership. His discussions with Brazilian leaders, including Defence Minister Jose Mucio and the Commander of the Brazilian Navy, Admiral Marcos Sampaio Olsen, will focus on enhancing operational linkages, naval interoperability, and capacity building, alongside exploring new collaboration avenues. This visit underscores India’s commitment to maritime security and professional exchanges, aiming to reinforce stability in global maritime affairs and promote South-South cooperation amid an evolving geopolitical landscape.
