Indian Navy sends 67 tons of medical aid to flood-affected Yemen.

The Indian Navy delivered approximately 67 tons of medical aid to Yemen on November 25, aimed at supporting communities affected by severe flash floods earlier in August that resulted in at least 14 fatalities. This mission, executed by Indian Naval Ship (INS) Chennai, reinforces India’s commitment to humanitarian assistance and disaster relief, emphasizing its role as a reliable partner in the region. Historically, India has maintained a strong relationship with Yemen, being one of the first to recognize its independence and consistently providing aid, including COVID-19 vaccines and wheat to mitigate food shortages. Such humanitarian efforts further solidify India’s stature as a proactive responder to crises in its vicinity.
