Tata Advanced Systems and Lockheed Martin have announced the groundbreaking of a new maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility in Bengaluru, aimed at supporting the Indian Air Force’s C-130J Super Hercules aircraft operations. This facility will enhance India’s defense capabilities, providing comprehensive MRO services and training for Indian engineers, while significantly boosting local aerospace innovation and competitiveness. The MRO facility, expected to be operational by early 2027, aligns with India’s strategic objectives and underscores the growing partnership between Indian defense forces and global aerospace leaders.
