Max Aerospace and Bell Textron team up for India's 200-helicopter RSH bid.
Max AeroSpace and Bell Textron have partnered to bid for India’s 200-helicopter Reconnaissance and Surveillance Helicopter (RSH) programme, aimed at modernizing the armed forces’ aging fleet. The collaboration will involve assembling Bell 407GXi helicopters at a new facility in Nagpur, in line with the Make in India initiative. This project is expected to create approximately 2,000 jobs and foster technology transfer, marking a significant step for Maharashtra’s aerospace industry. Competing against Airbus H125 helicopters, the RSH tender could catalyze private sector involvement in defense procurement, reflecting a broader trend toward enhancing indigenous capabilities and reducing reliance on foreign military assets.
