Indonesia officially bids to acquire BrahMos missiles from India, confirms Rajnath Singh.

Indonesia has formally requested to purchase BrahMos supersonic missiles from India, confirmed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. This deal comes shortly after the successful completion of the first batch of BrahMos missiles at the new facility in Lucknow, part of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Corridor. The missile system, with an operational range of up to 450 km, has garnered attention from several nations, including the Philippines, which has already acquired three batteries. While budget constraints have delayed Indonesian procurement, the ongoing discussions signal India’s growing influence in regional defense partnerships and the strategic importance of the BrahMos missile in enhancing the defense capabilities of Southeast Asian nations amid rising geopolitical tensions.
