Indian Army's Gajraj Corps launches 16,000 ft mono rail for logistics in Arunachal Pradesh.

The Indian Army’s Gajraj Corps has successfully developed and operationalized an indigenous High Altitude Mono Rail System at 16,000 feet in Arunachal Pradesh, a critical advancement for military logistics in extreme environments. This innovative system, capable of carrying over 300 kg of supplies, operates continuously in harsh weather conditions, ensuring timely delivery of essential stores, ammunition, and equipment to troops deployed along the challenging Kameng frontier. Notably, the mono rail also facilitates rapid casualty evacuation in areas where helicopter access is compromised, enhancing operational readiness. This development signifies the Indian military’s commitment to innovation and self-reliance, addressing persistent logistical challenges and reinforcing support for personnel stationed in inhospitable terrains along the Line of Actual Control.
