Indian Army to Equip Drones with Every Main Battle Tank by 2028

The Indian Army is set to revolutionize its armored warfare capabilities by integrating dedicated drones with every Main Battle Tank (MBT) starting in 2028. This initiative, covering over 3,000 tanks like the T-90 Bhishma and Arjun, aims to enhance Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, allowing real-time situational awareness and improved target identification. The drones will enable tank commanders to detect threats and navigate complex terrains effectively, countering increasingly sophisticated adversarial defenses. By adopting AI-driven technologies and advanced sensors, this strategic move positions the Indian Army at the forefront of modern warfare, ensuring enhanced combat effectiveness in diverse operational environments.
