East Tech 2025 Expo Secures Rs 1,000 Crore in Defense Deals

The East Tech 2025 expo in Ranchi, organized by the Army and the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers, concluded with a commitment to long-term defense procurements valued at approximately Rs 1,000 crore. Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth highlighted that 300 productive meetings were held, building on previous orders worth Rs 600 crore from the last event. With around 175 stalls showcasing innovations, including drones and battlefield vehicles, the expo emphasized promoting indigenous production and generating employment. The event’s success reflects a growing collaboration between the government, military, and private sector, reinforcing India’s goal of self-reliance in defense manufacturing, which is crucial for national security and economic growth.
