The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully developed NIRVANA, an indigenous Radar Cross-Section (RCS) prediction software, marking a significant step towards self-reliance in defense technology. This software will enhance India’s capabilities in designing stealth platforms by allowing accurate assessments of electromagnetic signatures and RCS during the development phase, thereby supporting programs like the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft and stealth UAVs. By eliminating reliance on foreign tools constrained by export controls, India strengthens its position in stealth technology, ensuring its military platforms remain undetectable in contested environments and capable of countering advancements in enemy radar systems.
