ADA Enhances LCA Mk-2 and AMCA Structural Integrity with Flutter Analysis

The Dynamics and Aeroelasticity Group at the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) is enhancing the structural integrity of India’s indigenous fighter aircraft programs, including the LCA Mk-2 and AMCA, through outsourced flutter and dynamic analysis. This strategic move aims to expedite the LCA Mk-2’s certification, which features a new canard control surface to improve maneuverability. Comprehensive testing, including structural dynamic, flutter, and aeroelastic response analyses, is crucial for ensuring the aircraft are free from potentially catastrophic instabilities. These efforts support compliance with the Indian Air Force’s stringent standards and signify India’s commitment to advancing its aerospace capabilities.
