Logitech confirms data breach; no sensitive info compromised, possibly linked to Clop gang.

Logitech has confirmed a data breach involving the unauthorized exfiltration of data, reportedly by the Russia-linked ransomware group Clop, which claims to have stolen approximately 1.8TB of files. The company asserts that no sensitive or customer-related information was compromised, as sensitive details such as national ID numbers and credit card data were not stored on the affected systems. The breach is believed to have exploited a zero-day vulnerability in a third-party software platform, which has since been patched. This incident raises significant concerns regarding cybersecurity, especially in relation to the vulnerabilities of third-party platforms and the potential impact on consumer trust.
