PM Modi accuses Congress of supporting illegal immigration in Assam.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi criticized the Congress party for allegedly indulging in anti-national activities, particularly concerning illegal Bangladeshi immigration in Assam. Speaking at the inauguration of a Rs 10,601-crore fertilizer plant in Dibrugarh, Modi emphasized the BJP government’s commitment to preserving the identity and pride of the Assamese people while enhancing industrialization and connectivity in the region. He expressed disappointment at Congress’s lack of initiative to modernize the previous plant and highlighted the government’s efforts to empower local farmers and create job opportunities. This development underscores the BJP’s focus on regional growth and self-sufficiency, particularly in the agricultural sector, as part of its broader vision for India’s economic progress.
