J&K Police arrests individual linked to white collar terror module.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police’s State Investigation Agency (SIA) arrested Tufail Niyaz Bhat, a Pulwama-based electrician and Srinagar resident, on November 22, 2025, in connection with the “white collar” terror module implicated in the November 10 Red Fort blast in Delhi that killed 13 people. This arrest is part of an ongoing investigation triggered by earlier threats against police and security forces in Srinagar in mid-October. The module, linked to banned terror outfits such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, involved radicalised medical professionals, including key figures arrested in Faridabad, where 2,900 kg of explosives were seized. The probe exposed a network facilitating terror activities across Jammu & Kashmir and northern India, highlighting serious security breaches in medical and educational institutions. This arrest underscores the J&K Police’s intensified efforts to dismantle terror cells exploiting “white collar” roles for logistical support to violent extremism, reflecting deepening concerns over radicalisation and insurgency spread in the region. Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. G V Sundeep Chakravarthy leads the investigation.
