Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to embark on a three-day visit to Jaisalmer from October 23, coinciding with the Army Commanders Conference, which is being held in the region for the first time since Operation Sindoor. This strategic gathering will see top Army officials discuss border security, modern warfare strategies, and the ongoing Year of Reforms focusing on operational readiness and technological advancements. Singh will pay tribute to fallen soldiers at the Longewala border post and inaugurate several development projects, including the Army War Museum and related parks. This visit underscores India’s commitment to enhancing military preparedness in response to evolving security dynamics along its western frontier, highlighting the importance of jointness and technological integration within the armed forces.
