Unidentified drones spotted over Denmark's largest military base

Danish military sites, including its largest base, Karup, experienced unidentified drone flights, prompting speculation of a “hybrid attack” potentially linked to Russia amid heightened tensions following its invasion of Ukraine. Danish officials termed the incidents as a threat to national security, with Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen directly implicating Russia. In response, Denmark plans to enhance its anti-drone capabilities and collaborate with Sweden for advanced technology, while EU defense ministers have underscored the necessity of establishing a “drone wall” to protect European interests. This development highlights the evolving nature of hybrid warfare and the urgent need for enhanced defense measures across Europe in light of persistent security threats.
