IAF's C-130 delivers relief to landslide victims in Jammu

An Indian Air Force (IAF) C-130 transport aircraft delivered relief materials to Jammu to assist those affected by a landslide near the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine, which resulted in nine fatalities and numerous injuries. The situation in Jammu and Kashmir worsened due to continuous torrential rains, prompting the evacuation of thousands from flood-prone areas. Helicopter assets, including Chinook and Mi-17 V5, remain on standby to further support rescue operations. This proactive response demonstrates the IAF’s commitment to humanitarian aid and disaster relief, strengthening India’s capability to respond swiftly to natural calamities while ensuring the safety of its citizens.
