IAF Chief A.P. Singh: Train Hard for Stronger National Defense
Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh emphasized the critical need for continuous investment in defense and rigorous training for the armed forces, addressing students in Delhi. He asserted that India’s safety hinges on the preparedness of its military and police, and highlighted the country’s rising defense capabilities through ongoing modernization efforts. Singh pointed out the humanitarian role of the Indian Air Force (IAF) in disaster response and reaffirmed its primary responsibility for national air defense. He cited Operation Sindoor to stress the importance of intense training for effective deterrence, stating, “the more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war,” while underscoring the IAF’s readiness with aircraft on standby.
