Union Home Secretary stresses vigilance against radicalization and terrorism threats.

Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan emphasized the urgent need for vigilance against radicalization and the exploitation of vulnerable youth during the Anti-Terrorism Conference 2025, organized by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). He highlighted the importance of a uniform Anti-Terror Squad structure for improving India’s counter-terrorism capabilities and praised the NIA’s high conviction rate. The conference addressed emerging security threats, including cybersecurity challenges and hybrid warfare, while also lauding the operational success of Indian security forces in countering recent terror attacks. Union Home Minister Amit Shah called for unified efforts across central and state agencies to enhance intelligence sharing and operational readiness, underscoring the need to confront terrorism both domestically and in its international dimensions.
