Two Women Naxalites Killed in Maharashtra Police Encounter

In a significant anti-Naxal operation in Maharashtra’s Gadchiroli district, two women Naxalites were killed during an encounter with police forces. Acting on credible intelligence, the police, supported by the specialized C-60 commando squad and CRPF, launched a search operation in the Modaske village area, where they faced gunfire from Maoists. In retaliation, the police neutralized the threat, recovering an AK-47, a sophisticated pistol, live ammunition, and a trove of Naxal literature. This operation underscores the ongoing commitment of Indian security forces to combat Maoist insurgency and maintain peace in affected regions, reflecting a strategic focus on counterinsurgency efforts that enhance state security and stability.
