Two Naxalites with Rs 16 lakh bounty killed in Bijapur encounter

Two Naxalites, Hidma Podiyam and Munna Madkam, with a combined bounty of Rs 16 lakh, were killed in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district. The operation, conducted by the District Reserve Guard, resulted in the recovery of weapons and materials associated with Maoist activities. This incident underscores the ongoing efforts of Indian security forces in combating Naxalism, with 243 Naxalites neutralized in the state this year alone. Such operations highlight the commitment of Indian defense forces in restoring peace and stability in areas affected by Maoist insurgency, reflecting a strategic emphasis on eliminating threats to national security.
