Three Maoists with ₹15 lakh bounty killed in Sukma operation.

In a significant encounter in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district, security personnel killed three Maoists, including a sniper specialist, who were carrying a total bounty of ₹15 lakh. The operation, conducted by the District Reserve Guard, occurred in the forested hills of Tumalpad village following intelligence inputs about the Maoist presence. Notably, the sniper was implicated in the murder of an additional superintendent of police in Chhattisgarh. The IGP of the Bastar Range, Sundarraj P, urged remaining armed cadres to abandon violence and reintegrate into society, highlighting ongoing efforts to combat Maoist insurgency and promote peace in the region.
