Three Maoists arrested in Dantewada; live IED recovered in operation.

In a significant achievement against the Naxalite insurgency in South Bastar Dantewada, security forces successfully detained three suspected Maoists and recovered a live pressure IED during a joint operation by Malewahi Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). The operation, part of an intensified anti-Naxalite campaign led by Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rai, followed a tip-off regarding suspicious activities near Satdhar bridge. The suspects, identified as members of the banned CPI(M) Maoist organization, confessed to their involvement in a prior IED blast injuring two CRPF personnel. This operation highlights the effectiveness of coordinated intelligence efforts in disrupting insurgent activities, reaffirming the authorities’ commitment to ensuring civilian safety and maintaining pressure on Naxalite networks in the region.
