Ten Naxalites surrender in MP, declaring Dindori and Mandla Naxal-free.
On December 7, 2025, ten hardcore Naxalites from the Bhoramdeo area committee of the banned Communist Party of India (Maoist), including four women and key figures like Sunder alias Kabir with a Rs 62 lakh bounty, surrendered before Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav in Balaghat district. Carrying a collective bounty of Rs 2.36 crore, they laid down advanced weapons such as AK-47s, INSAS rifles, .303 rifles, and SLRs, marking the largest such surrender in the state. Yadav declared Dindori and Mandla districts completely free of Naxal influence, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to eradicate left-wing extremism nationwide by March 2026, while announcing a 15-year rehabilitation package for returnees to foster peace and development in border regions near Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra.
