Study: 90% of Unmarked Graves in North Kashmir Are Terrorists

A recent study by the Kashmir-based NGO Save Youth Save Future Foundation reveals that over 90% of unmarked graves in north Kashmir belong to terrorists, contradicting narratives of civilian mass graves. Analyzing 4,056 graves, the report found that 61.5% were foreign terrorists, while only 0.2% were confirmed civilian graves, dispelling claims of systematic extrajudicial killings. The research highlights Pakistan’s role in introducing foreign militants post-Soviet withdrawal, which intensified security challenges for Indian forces. This study calls for a forensic investigation of genuinely unmarked graves and emphasizes the need for the international community to verify claims before drawing conclusions about the situation in Kashmir.
