Six Naxalites were arrested in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma and Bijapur districts during an anti-Naxal operation conducted by security forces, including the District Reserve Guard and the CRPF. Among the apprehended, Podiyam Nanda was a militia commander with a ₹2 lakh reward on his head, and significant explosives, including tiffin-bombs and detonators, were seized. In Bijapur, three lower-rung cadres were caught with Maoist uniforms and literature after being involved in a prior gunfight.
