Security forces target subversive networks in Baramulla, Shopian after Red Fort blast.

In response to the recent deadly blast at Red Fort, security forces conducted a series of crackdowns across the Baramulla, Pulwama, and Shopian districts, targeting subversive networks. The operations involved 16 cordon and search operations (CASOs) and the interrogation of numerous individuals linked to overground workers (OGWs) and terrorist affiliations, leading to the detention of six individuals and the binding down of 20 others under preventive law. The police emphasized the importance of maintaining public order while proactively dismantling logistical and financial support for terrorism. This crackdown illustrates the ongoing commitment of Indian security forces to ensure stability and counter terrorism in the region, reinforcing the government’s resolve to address security challenges effectively.
