Terrorism and Counterterrorism

Security forces arrest eight linked to Jaish's urban radicalization network.

Security agencies have arrested eight individuals, including three doctors, believed to be part of a “white-collar” radicalization network operating across Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, linked to the Jaish-e-Mohammed organization. This crackdown uncovered approximately 2,900 kg of explosive materials, including ammonium nitrate, suggesting a significant threat posed by these operatives. The operation highlights the persistent risk of radicalization in urban settings, particularly among educated individuals, raising concerns about the potential for sophisticated terror plots in India. This development underscores the necessity for heightened vigilance and proactive measures by security forces to counteract emerging threats to national security.
