Punjab Police arrest 10 in ISI-linked grenade attack plot.

Punjab Police recently uncovered a grenade attack module allegedly backed by Pakistan’s ISI, leading to the arrest of ten individuals. Among those apprehended are residents of Sri Muktsar Sahib, with connections to handlers based in Pakistan and operatives in Malaysia. The operation, which involved the coordination of a Chinese hand grenade delivery intended to instigate unrest in the region, was linked to local facilitators previously engaged in drug smuggling. Authorities have invoked the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and issued Red Corner Notices against the foreign-based masterminds. This incident underscores ongoing security challenges in Punjab and highlights the persistent threat posed by cross-border terrorism orchestrated by external entities.
