Post-Op Sindoor, JeM and HM Terror Groups Flee PoK to KPK

Following India’s Operation Sindoor, targeted strikes against terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir have compelled groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen to relocate their bases to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This strategic shift indicates a recognition of PoK’s vulnerability to Indian operations, as these groups seek deeper refuge closer to the Afghan border. Reports suggest that their movements are facilitated by Pakistani state structures, with recent gatherings held under police protection highlighting the state’s tacit endorsement of these organizations. The presence of high-value targets like JeM leader Ilyas Kashmiri at public recruitment drives further underscores the ongoing collaboration between these terror groups and political-religious entities in Pakistan, raising significant concerns about regional security and the persistent threat of cross-border terrorism against India.
