Noida man arrested for hoax threat of Mumbai blast to frame rival

A Noida resident, Ashwani Kumar, was arrested for sending a hoax threat to Mumbai Police, claiming that 14 terrorists had infiltrated the city with 400 kg of RDX, intending to frame a foe as revenge for a personal vendetta. The message, which raised alarms ahead of Anant Chaturthi celebrations, was traced back to Kumar, who admitted to fabricating the threat using a friend’s name. This incident underscores the importance of vigilance within security agencies, especially during high-profile events, and highlights the swift response of law enforcement in addressing potential threats to public safety.
